Week 24 – 2026: Final Update

We are pleased to announce that the renovation work is complete, with just a few minor details remaining.

The terrace and access paths to the Schlossgut have been renovated, and the drainage system has been updated to the latest standards. The fountain has been relocated in front of the Stöckli, which is now surrounded by Bernese cobblestones. Thanks to its new location, the fountain is visible from the Orangery and the terrace, lending the Stöckli additional charm.

The Orangery, decorated in warm tones, underscores the Mediterranean flair associated with Gerzensee. The new window front can be opened centrally along half its length, creating a pleasant connection to the outdoor space. In the back area, closing off the side bar entrance made it possible to install a continuous bench with five tables, which are suitable for both relaxing and working. Necessary connections were discreetly integrated above the backrest.

The chestnut tree has been surrounded by new edging and equipped with seating all around it. Near the table tennis court, which has also been paved with the new patio slabs, two new seating areas have been created in the same design.

On the upper floor, the Bern Hall, Thun Room, and adjacent rooms were completely renovated. In addition to the visual changes, the goal here was to adapt the technology—some of which was 40 years old—to new requirements and to optimize internal workflows. An initial test phase has taken place in all areas, and we are eagerly awaiting the results.
